Air filter oil

I've went far too long without changing my air filter, but I'm short on cash right now so I am going to try using a foam vacuum cleaner filter, an idea I just found today while searching the forum. My only problem is I can't find any air filter oil...discount auto doesn't have any and neither does any other place I've checked. It can be ordered from the bike shop but it will take a week. Could I use motor oil, silicon lubricant, or wd-40 instead?
